From 1 November 2025 Ballina West Medical Centre will become a fully bulk billing practice for all patients with a current Medicare card

Consultation Types

Standard Consultation (up to 15 minutes)

• Suitable for 1-2 simple issues
• Standard appointment duration

Longer Consultation (up to 30 minutes)

• For complex or multiple issues
• Allows more comprehensive discussion

Prolonged Consultation (40 minutes+)

• For extensive medical reviews
• Complex case management

Services Not Covered by Bulk Billing

Charges will still apply for the following services:

• Workers’ Compensation consultations
• Commercial Driver’s License medicals
• Third Party Insurance assessments
• Superannuation Claims evaluations
• Pre-Employment Medicals

Appointment Guidelines

• Please inform our reception staff of your specific needs when booking
• Double appointments may be required for complex issues or paperwork completion
• This ensures adequate time for your care and minimal delays for other patients
